I can't say enough about A&B. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I started taking my Jeep to them in 2014 and have never had a problem with there service. I will definitely continue to go to them.

I brought my classic car to A&B after several recommendations from members of a car club I have joined. I was hoping for a simple seal repair for a bad fluid leak, but once the transmission was dropped more serious issues were discovered. Carlos sent me a very detailed text with pictures of all of the problems and repairs that needed to be done. When I phoned he explained qhat needed to be done and when ir would be complete. When the repair was finished I couldn't make it to tgw shop by clising time, so Carlos assured me they would keep my car inside secured overnight.

A&B were recommended to me and they were friendly and easy to communicate with. I wasn't treated like a woman who doesnt know abt vehicles so i appreciated that respect off the bat. Carlos called me with the findings and we proceeded from there. No BS involved. I would recommend them for sure.

Second time around, second 5-star review! Had a mechanic say I needed a
.complete differential rebuild at a cost of $2,700. Toke it to A&B, they found a few items on the chassis that were making noise, check the dif and said everything was fine. They change the oil and sent me on my way. Worth every part of their $500 invoice. Thanks again A7B!

A&B transmission have been around for 40 years and that says it all.

I have taken my vehicle to A&B Transmission on two occasions, once ft a transmission issue and the second time for a check engt light isst as well as a rear brake issue
Both times they only repaired the problem without trying to sell me soethy that was not required. The only problem they could not fix was the check engine light issue as it had to do with the electrical wiring issue. Carlos, my advisor, was able to recommend a shop that be able to assist me in getting the issue solved.

It's very refreshing to be able to deal with a Auto repair shop that is not trying to scam the customer. I would have no problem recommending A&B Transmission. They have become my go to auto repair facility

We were calling around to various service stations in Aldergrove last week getting prices to do an oil and filter change on our GMC's auto transmission. Prices were all over the place. We gave Super Steve's a call and the counter rep asked me to hold on because he wanted to bring Steve in to quote on it. Anyway Steve comes on the phone quickly and says that yes they can do it but that he would actually think that a true transmission shop might be a better idea and his recommendation is A & B Transmission in Langley.
I hadn't thought about this possibility but it really made all the sense in the world since they could check it out as well. So I talked to Carlos at A & B and he gave a price on the phone immediately which was on the lower end of the prices I had been getting. We made an appointment for this morning and they were waiting for us when we arrived. No fuss or bother, just a promise to call if they found anything wrong or when it was done. Ninety minutes later Carlos called to say it was completed and that everything looked pretty good in there. Oil was a little dark but that was expected but nothing was burnt or worn, just in good shape for being 17 years old and 230k km's on it.
We'd simply like to thank Steve of Super Steve's for steering us and also to thank A & B Transmission in Langley for the excellent service and no messing about trying to sell something they knew we didn't need. And to Carlos for his manner and knowledge about the whole transaction. The final price was exactly as quoted so we're bringing our car in next month for the same work.

I took my daughters Tacoma to Wilf’s transmission for a shifting problem. Left it there for a day and got a call saying transmission needed rebuilding at a cost of $4300. I was surprised as truck has only 134,000 k so I took it to A B transmission and they removed pan and flushed now truck runs as new. A B are straight up and honest and I would definitely return when I need any transmission work again.

A&B came highly recommended by people in the classic car restoration business. They took a 54 year old 3 speed and Dana 20 T-Case and gave the back all painted-up and restored. Best part is that the warranty does not start till you get your project driving! I love that since my project is several months from completion. I am glad to have found a shop that understands the car hobby and knows how to work on the old stuff.

I recently had problems on my car’s clutch and they were fast and the mechanic did a good job. They gave me warm reception and I would recommend my friends and family. Overall I think they did a pretty good job.

I went with A&B after many referrals, Service from start to finish was excellent
this was last year. Just recently I was having issues with a clicking engine noise (Went to the Vehicle dealership as it has been a ongoing issue) through the process of finding the source it was brought to my attention the engine mounts supplied and installed By A&B had already failed.
Once I arrived at A&B, Jodie had the original work inspected and found parts did need warranty replacement and also noticed an engine bracket had failed (which was actually missed by the Dealership) They looked after the bracket and mounts and sent me on my way.

I experienced an honest upfront assessment of the original work completed over a year prior, and a more than fair solution .
I will continue to use A&B whenever I can and will be more than 100% confident in suggesting them to anyone who is looking for vehicle repair or service.

I was referred to A&B transmission from a friend of mine that is a Mechanic, they did not disappoint. I took my Ford 150 because we thought we were having transmission problems , they spent two hours looking over everything and thought it could be electrical ,and wanted a electrician to take a look at it before they started working on the transmission . They referred me to an electrician down the street that they knew ,and because I don’t live local they drove my truck to him , Frank at Dundy electric found an electrical problem, and fixed it . A&B then picked my truck up for me brought it back to there shop , and then only charged me an hour labour because they are kind ,and knew I now had 2 bills so they cut me a deal . Dealing with Jodie was so easy and comfortable, if we ever need work on our trucks or car we will be back for sure. Thanks again guys you all rock !

Very honest too, I was convinced I had a bigger problem than I actually did and I was doubtful of their diagnosis at first, but they assured me they had fixed the problem and they did! Point being, they could have leaned into my doubt and charged me to replace things that didn’t need to be, but they didn’t. Definitely recommend this place for any drivetrain/transmission problems.

I prefer to go to a location where I am comfortable with the service and quality of work done to my vehicle. This is the 7th vehicle I have brought to A&B over the years, staff are friendly and explain the work that needs to be done. The work is preformed professionally, quickly and at a fair cost. I would like to thank the fine people at A & B Transmissions for resolving what turned out to be a relatively minor issue with the transmission on my 2014 Santa Fe XL that my dealer didn’t fix. These guys were friendly, and helpful. My problem was fixed quickly and inexpensively, it turned out it just required an adjustment on the transmission computer. I would highly recommend these guys and will not hesitate to use them again, should the need arise.

Jodie was great to deal with, kept me in the loop on the repairs needed and supplied photos of the damage done to my internal rear differential. It may not have been the cheapest repair but it was the best repair and best is not cheap. Highly recommended for all your repairs

It doesn't hurt as much to spend the kids' inheritance when you are dealing with someone as clued in and nice as Jodie.

My overheat transmission alarm went off. I brought it in to be diagnosed and was told that it would be premature to change out the transmission. Tolerances checked out and that I should be good for a while longer.

What a great experience. My daughters car was making a very strange sound and was jerking at acceleration. I explained this issue to the A&B staff and they got her in right away - they recognized that safety is very important and a worried parent! They fit her in immediately even with them being very busy.

I had an issue with oil leak from the front area. A&B diagnosed the problem and gave me the detail quote for fixing quickly. A&B also helped me with my insurance company to request a redeem, I didn't have to do plenty of paper work.



Unfortunately, I had another issue with exhaust's noise that began after fixing leak problem. I came back and explained the issue. They diagnosed, conceded that the problem caused by last fix, they said sorry and again fix the problem. That is the most thing that I am happy with. Taking responsibility seems quite hard with some other business.

I was recommended to A&B Transmissions by my local auto repair shop. I am thankful they did. My first impressions as I walked in were of clean windows, waiting area, service desk and from the outside looking in, a clean and tidy but busy shop. I had a complete differential replaced with new seals. About a week later I discovered a seal had refused to do its job. I spoke with Jody and she immediately arranged an appointment and the seal replaced, to no avail. We repeated the process and the technicians persevered and found a flaw in the housing. This was machined out with success. Thank you. Jody was the point person and explained each step of the work that was being performed. She was positive and informative. On two occasions while waiting to be picked up I observed her and Brian’s customer service. They were polite and informative with knowledgeable explanations as to work being performed. These two are who you want at your front desk to greet customers. I was very impressed and will return.

I was very happy with the work done on my vehicle. They showed me a leak in my coolant pipes and repaired that then they dumped my oil transmission oil changed the filter. Topped it up with fresh clean fluid and I was out the door. The car is operating nicely.

I was recently in the lower mainland from the interior when i heard a clanking from my engine. I thought it was a belt, but after going to Canadian Tire ..they said it was likely my flex plate. I called a transmission place i knew in Kamloops (B&M Transmission). They said go to A&B....NOWHERE ELSE. I called A &B and they got me right in for a quick look and advised that i should be ok to get home, but definitely get it fixed asap. I was to pick up my elderly mother and drive back up the Coquhalla, relieved that i got good advice ..i was on my way. I asked what i owed..and was told .no charge! Thank you A&B...very likely i could have gone to a not so reputable place and been not been treated so honestly. Many many thanks.

This is the second transmission I have had rebuild this fall and in both cases the service was excellent. One was a high performance build which shifts quick and smooth, and the second was in one of my work vans. In both cases they got me back on the road quick and the quality was excellent. My 2001 Dodge pickup automatic transmission would not shift into second gear. After reading all the great reviews and the fact that they have been in business for over forty years I decided to take my truck to A&B Transmission.

After diagnosis of the problem and discussing the cost, I also received pictures and

explanation of what was wrong with the parts that needed replacing. Was quoted much higher cost for service at other shops.

Who knows how to properly access & repair the 1960-70’s cars. Now a days most shops don’t have any idea what to do. When asked they something like “ I don’t know these things but I can try and work on it.” Which means time to get in car & run away. Gord was the opposite he instilled confidence in you that your baby was safe with him. They solved all my issues & more for me and pointed out other things to pass along to my regular mechanic. Job was also done on time & at stated amount. Would highly recommend this shop.

Have returned to A & B for more complicated work on both vehicles (Lexus, Tahoe) for a number of years, other than trans work. They have also serviced transmissions on 3 vehicles, always without surprise ‘diagnoses’ which I’ve experienced at less reputable places.



When a problem developed as a result of work completed, every aspect of fixing the problem was dealt with to the highest of standards.

When I called to make an appointment, reception was courteous, explained what the process was & the cost. When I arrived, I was told it would take 1 1/2 hrs to change the transmission fluid. They were on time. The car was clean when I picked it up. Those I talked to were very courteous. I would go there again.

Excellent service... had a rebuilt transmission installed several years ago at 135K.As quoted and within 3 days which was important as a work vehicle. Returned recently for check and all good. Still strong at 325k! Would definitely recommend

Great service from Gord and Jodie. I had brought my 1963 collecter car in to be looked at as it had a bad leak from the transmission. Gord gave me two quotes. One for a reseal, and the other for a full rebuild. As the quotes were not too far apart and transmission was original and had not been previously rebuilt, I opted for the full rebuild. They had the car ready as promised and the price was exactly what they estimated.



When we arrived to pick up the car, my wife's car chose that moment for its shift cable to detach itself from the transmission. A big thanks to Scott for quickly. diagnosing the problem to be a disintegrated grommet which he then replaced, reattached the shift cable and had us on our way in about 20 minutes. I can't recomment A and B Transmissions highly enough.

Used A and B for a complete Rebuild on My Dodge 5500 Asuni Transmission - was done in a quick and efficient manner and truck now works as new again.

Last Friday when I picked up my Mercedes from Fraser Valley Radiator who was doing a recharge in the A/C they noticed a leak in my SL600 Mercedes Transmission so at 4:30 dropped it off to A and B and had it properly repaired before Monday at noon - great service.

I have dealt with A n B a couple times before for clutches.This time was a full rebuild on my 99 Acura.Jodi was awesome,the work is top notch and the price was fair.I feel totally comfortable recommending their services to friends and family.

Took my Grand Caravan in when the transmission quit. They got on it right away and I was happily surprised with the level of communication they kept throughout the whole process. As I suspected and the diagnostic review (with pictures I might add) proved, we essentially needed a new transmission. I took my 2005 Mazda 6 there for a lubrico approved warranty repair on the transmission. Jodie was awesome with her customer service and went to bat for me when Lubrico was trying to weasel out of paying for some of the repair.

I live in South Surrey where there are many auto repair shops, but in my opinion nowhere as honest and professional as A&B. I will gladly drive to Langley knowing Gord will give me honest high quality service.

I was traveling through Langley when a problem occurred. They were more than helpful and took the time to explain the repair in detail. Was pleased with the service, and would definitely recommend them!

Excellent Service as always. Front desk Service adviser is always helpful, and the mechanics great as always. Good, clean job, and checked fluids, etc. at the same time. I got an Semi-Synthetic oil change, paid the difference - the "Car Care Card" is a great deal...(includes 3 oil changes) ...little extra for the Semi Synthetic ones.

Been to A&B for an oil change and ever since then, A&B has been the only shop I go too.

The receptionists I met, Jodie and Jake, are by far the most polite and intelligent people I have ever dealt with. They will always tell you the best and the most efficient ways to repair the problem. Also, they’re very friendly and humorous so the wait for the car won’t even be an issue!

No need to say any words to them and they will take care of it until it is safe on the road and for you to drive.

Brought my vehicle in to have a transmission leak repaired. They not only fixed the leak but did a drive line inspection/assessment and road test for operability. Jodi their secretary is just amazing such a pleasant person super caring love dealing with her now if other places had more employees with her personality that would just make the surrey/langley such a nicer place to live then anywhere else in the lower main land… They did a great job fixing my ride, at a amazing rate I would not go anywhere else. They may have ur ride for a while but that’s ok at lest there taking time to do the job right then rushed, and If they haven’t gotten to my car yet well I don’t know about u but if a auto shop is that busy with other cars they must be doing something right. I know i was at the right place when i realized a&b were BCAA and ICBC approved. When i called Jodie and explained i hear a noise coming from who knows where she asked me to stop by and they will road test with me. Neel and i went for a drive and sure enough he confirmed my suspicions that the noise was coming from the transmission and he explained himself very well so i could understand what was happening. The next business day they road tested one more time to confirm the suspicion Jodie called me and further explained the process the problem and the costs. Throughout the whole process they called me and kept me informed so when it came to completion of the work there was no surprises to me.The truck runs great now and the warranty i was given gives me a great piece of mind that i am in good hands.i would recommend this shop to everybody who needs any kind of repair done to their vehicle and wants to be treated like a valued customer.
